Fredericksburg is a real estate bonanza!

Fredericksburg has been a popular destination for many years. Top attractions, such as the historical downtown with its charming shops and restaurants; the world class National Museum of the Pacific War, which includes the Admiral Nimitz Gallery; and Enchanted Rock, draw tourists from all over, not to mention the numerous festivals and German culture celebrations. But now, added to the top of the list, are the Texas Hill Country Wineries.

The Fredericksburg area is the center of the Hill Country Wine Trails, which is the second most visited wine industry behind Napa Valley. Fredericksburg currently has 55 wineries with 31 of these added in the last five years.

Along with the increase in wine tours, the wedding business is the latest driver for the increased need for weekend rentals. In the last two years, five new wedding venues have come to Gillespie County, and many wedding venues are booked a year out. The average destination wedding is 150 guests needing about 75 rooms for the weekend.

Renting one unit for two weekends is equivalent to a monthly rental rate.
